Storage growing — likely orphaned branch data

Part of the Cost & ops health check · fix arrives as a guide

What it is

Project storage is growing in a pattern consistent with orphaned branch data rather than primary-branch growth.

Why it matters

Deleted or abandoned branches can retain data, and preview branches created per pull request accumulate. Storage is billed on the total, so branches nobody has opened in months are still on the invoice.

How to fix it

List the branches by size and age, and delete the ones tied to closed pull requests or finished work. Set expiry on ephemeral branches at creation so this does not rebuild.
