What it is
A paid project has no spend quota configured.
Why it matters
Usage-based billing has no ceiling by default. A runaway query loop, a mistakenly-enabled always-on compute, or a branch left running can multiply the bill before the invoice arrives to tell you.
How to fix it
Set a monthly spend quota above your normal usage but below what would be a problem, and configure the usage alert so you hear about the trend rather than the total.
