Neon Cost Security & compliance

Non-primary branch > 1 GiB logical size

Part of the Cost & ops health check · fix arrives as a guide

What it is

A non-primary branch holds more than 1 GiB of logical data.

Why it matters

Neon branches are copy-on-write, so they start nearly free and grow as they diverge. A branch this size has been written to heavily or has been alive long enough to accumulate its own copy of the data.

How to fix it

Check whether the branch is still needed. If it is long-lived, consider resetting it from primary to collapse the divergence, which reclaims the storage its history is holding.
