Non-primary branches hold 5× primary storage

Part of the Cost & ops health check · fix arrives as a guide

What it is

Non-primary branches together hold roughly five times the storage of the primary branch.

Why it matters

The overwhelming majority of your storage bill is going to branches that are not production. That ratio almost always means abandoned branches rather than a deliberate choice.

How to fix it

List branches by size, confirm which are still in use, and delete the rest. Adding expiry to automatically-created branches keeps the ratio from rebuilding.
