PITR retention < 7 days (production)

Part of the Cost & ops health check · fix arrives as a guide

What it is

A production project retains less than seven days of point-in-time recovery history.

Why it matters

Seven days covers a weekend plus the time it takes someone to notice and escalate. Below that, a problem introduced on Friday can be unrecoverable by the time it is reported on Monday.

How to fix it

Raise the history retention window to seven days or more. It is a project-level setting, so it applies to every branch — control the cost by deleting stale branches rather than by trying to tune retention per branch.
